After rain comes…
After what feels like weeks of constant rain the sun finally made a short appearance today. And what better way to ”carpe diem” than go fishing...?..
Me and my dog Jigg (the Swedish word for jig) packed all the gear and headed to a lake that I know most locals don't think of when it comes to sport fishing. I was right, not a boat as far as I could see during the six hours of fishing.
Started the day fishing for perch but the only thing I got was a couple of pike so I switched to the pike gear and prepared for some serious pike fishing. Both spin and trolling fishing felt like two lucrative techniques for the day and hard lures was popular.
Luckily for me my dog is a real professional fishing partner and he never misses to mark if any of the rods has fish on (actually he knows before the paravane has released) and he never ever complains about weather or other small things :)
Best catch of the day was a pike 112 cm and 10,05 kg a beautiful lady. Had a couple of bite times when the fishing was really good. 16 pike total and except the big one, and a couple small 2-5 kg pike, they measured between 85-94 cm.
